About TMCC

The Thunder Mountain Camera Club is a nonprofit organization, formed in 1981, promoting the study, enjoyment, and use of photography.

The Club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month (except December) 7:00 – 9:00p.m. at:

Western Colorado Community College

2520 Blichmann Avenue, Building B, Room 171 (double-door entrance from Parking Lot #4)

Grand Junction, CO 81505

Our club meetings offer photography discussions, guest speaker presentations, and photo competitions. We also submit photographs four times per year into worldwide PSA competitions (Photographic Society of America). These competitions are used to get feedback, learn more about photography, and appreciate other peoples’ perceptions of our photography. The club conducts educational workshops, as well as organized photo outings into areas of local interest.

Anyone is welcome to attend one meeting and one additional class before deciding to join. All you need to do is show up. You don’t need to bring your camera, and all skill levels are welcome to attend. We currently have an even mixture of beginning, intermediate and advanced photographers.

Membership in Thunder Mountain Camera Club costs (2020):
$35.00 per year for individuals
$50.00 per year for families
$20.00 per year for students

New memberships can be prorated.
