Back by popular demand,  the CNMA is offering Landscape Photography hikes with Donna Fullerton.

Landscape Photography in Monument Canyon. Saturday, October 25, 9:30 AM.   Learn photographic tips and techniques with local photographer Donna Fullerton on this hike through Monument Canyon. Bring food, water, sunscreen and hiking boots. Dress in layers – a hat and long pants are recommended. Trek poles or walking sticks are also helpful.  Bring your favorite camera,  a comfortable strap,  and don’t forget clean lenses and charged batteries.  Tripods aren’t necessary.  Children, ages 13 and up, are welcome if they can hike the distance unassisted. Saturday’s hike will start from the Lower Monument Trailhead The 2.5 mile trail follows the base of sandstone cliffs to the massive Independence Monument. Monument Canyon offers spectacular views of towering rock formations. It is also the best trail to see desert bighorn sheep during the fall. (5 miles round-trip, +500’; moderate.) 15 hikers maximum.
